Routinix – Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how Routinix ("we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use our mobile application (the "App"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices.

By using Routinix, you agree to the collection and use of information as outlined in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the App.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information Stored Locally on Your Device

The following data is stored entirely on your device using local storage (Hive & SharedPreferences). This data is never transmitted to our servers or any external server:

2.2 Permissions Used by the App

Routinix requests the following permissions, all used only for the features described:

• Notifications – To deliver reminder, water and habit notifications.
• Exact Alarms – To trigger reminders reliably at the exact scheduled time (including after device reboot).
• Activity Recognition (Step Counter) – To count your steps on-device. Step data is processed locally and never uploaded.
• Text-to-Speech – To read out reminder notifications as voice alerts when you tap them.

2.3 Information Collected by Google AdMob

Routinix uses Google AdMob to display advertisements (banner, interstitial and rewarded ads). Google AdMob may automatically collect certain information, including:

• Advertising ID – A unique, user-resettable identifier used for ad personalization.
• Device Information – Device model, operating system version, language, screen resolution.
• Network Information – IP address (used for approximate geolocation and fraud prevention), network type.
• App Usage Data – Ad impressions, clicks, and interactions with ads.

Where required (e.g. in the EEA/UK), Routinix uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to obtain your consent before any ads are requested. Rewarded ads are entirely optional — watching one may unlock a small in-app bonus (e.g. extra XP) and is never required to use any core feature.

This data is collected and processed by Google in accordance with the Google Privacy Policy.

3. How We Use Information

We use the locally stored information solely to:

• Send reminders via device alarms, notifications and voice alerts.
• Calculate BMI-based water intake goals and step goals.
• Track and display habit streaks, XP, badges and your productivity score.
• Generate smart insights from your local activity data.
• Personalize the app experience (theme, settings).

We do not use your personal data for advertising, analytics, or any purpose beyond the App's core functionality.

4. Data Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with any third party.

The only third-party service integrated in the App is Google AdMob, which operates independently and is governed by Google's Privacy Policy. AdMob may collect advertising identifiers and device information as described above.

We may disclose information only if required by law or in response to valid legal requests.

5. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information:

• All personal data is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted over the internet.
• Step counts and voice alerts are processed on-device.
• The App uses HTTPS for any network requests (AdMob only).

However, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Children's Privacy

Routinix is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights:

• Access: Since all data is on your device, you can access it at any time through the App.
• Deletion: You can delete all your data by clearing the App's data in your device settings or by uninstalling the App.
• Opt-out of ad personalization: You can reset your advertising ID or opt out of personalized ads in your device settings (Settings → Privacy → Ads).

9. Changes to This Policy
